PhD Candidates Only | NEW - Explaining Science with Images

CONTENT
This interactive workshop introduces the fundamentals of graphic design for scientists. Topics include scientific illustration, data visualization, typography, color, layout, and the principles of visual communication. Through examples and practical exercises, participants learn how to analyze and improve scientific figures and develop visual concepts for their own research. Following the first workshop day, participants work independently on a visual project. The results are uploaded to a digital whiteboard and discussed in a structured peer-review process. A moderated online feedback session supports reflection, revision, and further development of the submitted work.
